Irina Dechant is a music educator who has independently published an exclusive piano school, since 2023. She grew up in Germany and completed her music education at the University of Vechta in Lower Saxony in 2006.

In 2012, she relocated to Hong Kong, where she established and expanded her own music school, "Dechant Music Academy (DMA)," in 2015.
As a result of the Covid-19 lockdowns, she had to start anew. She seized this opportunity to put her international experience and knowledge into writing, which took a full three years. In the process, a family project was created, involving her whole family and supporting them along the way.
